An Archaic Jade Disc (BI)

Qijia culture, circa 2500-1500 B.C.

 

Diameter 11.7 cm

 

The semi-translucent stone is of a brown-yellow tone with creamy white and brown areas and widely scattered 'root marks', the surface smoothly polished.
