An Archaic Jade Disc (BI)

Neolithic period, circa 3000-2000 B.C.

 

Diameter 13.3 cm

 

The smooth disc with central aperture drilled from one side, the semi-translucent stone of greenish-white color.

 

Compare the similar jade disc, attributed late Neolithic, The British Museum, London, (registration number 1909,0506.7)

 

Appraised by Mr. Bernstein, an internationally recognized specialist dealer in Chinese antiquities.
