With an everted foliate rim. The interior painted in underglaze blue. The decoration features an elaborate lotus flower scrolls and cranes around the wave pattern in the center of the dish. The base with an apocryphal six-character Hongwu-mark (Da Ming Hong Wu Nian Zhi) in underglaze blue within a double circle.
The usual minor 'fritting' to the glaze at the rim edge seen on most porcelain of this period.
